I do love it when I take the dogs out in the evening and the heavy snowfall has brought a hush over the entire world. Well, my little part of the world anyway.
Itis very calming. I just gaze in amazement. It is like a cool drink of water to a hot, overwhelmed brain.

Silence is part of life, which we all need. A silence after the hustle and bustle of the city, a silence after the jarring music ends, a silence softer the thunder n storm stops.. They are beautiful, enjoyable silences, just like snow.

Beautiful pics! I agree - we need periods of silence in our life, to slow down, to recover, to focus on what is truly important, to recharge ourselves.
That said, there's no snow in India. :( The 'slowing down' here is brought in by many factors instead - slow-moving traffic, heavy rains, bandhs and rallies.. etc etc. They all slow down routine life so we get time to introspect. :D

In this fast paced live, I'Ve begun to appreciate the value of silence. Not that I would like to stay alone. But as much as I like to socialize, sometimes I feel like getting away from everyone and sitting at some place, probably a beach, all by myself just to listen to my inner voice, If not, I'm sure I would'Ve gone insane.

I totally agree. We are expecting a big snow storm here this weekend and i have plans to go up to central park early in the morning and just be alone in that special snow-induced silence.
